Xerochrysum bracteatum

Days to Maturity: 60-80

We can't get over how beautiful these multicolored strawflowers are! Also known as everlasting flowers, strawflowers make one of the best dried flowers as their color always lasts on their paper-like petals. String on a garland to bring the garden into your home year-round! Annual strawflowers are heat and drought tolerant, making them easy to grow most anywhere in the Southwest. Keep harvesting the flowers to renew blooming. Colors in this mix include yellows, peaches, oranges and reds.

Original seeds from Johnny's seeds.

Planting Instructions: Direct sow Strawflower seeds 1" deep, 6-12" apart in spring after all danger of frost has passed. Keep moist until germinated.

Seed Saving Instructions: Allow blooms to dry and go to seed. Cut entire seedheads into a bucket and allow to dry fully before dislodging seed. Store Strawflower seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry place.

Approximately 50 Apricot/Peach Strawflower seeds per packet
