Annual Phlox is a vibrant, fast-growing flower native to Texas and nearby parts of the southern United States. It is celebrated for its profusion of colorful blooms, ranging from deep reds and pinks to whites, and purples, that blanket the garden in a cheerful display from late spring through summer. Its soft, lance-shaped leaves form neat, compact mounds that set off clusters of five-petaled flowers, which draw in bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, making it a favorite in pollinator gardens.

Grown for generations as an easy and reliable ornamental, Annual Phlox completes its life cycle in one season, producing quick, generous color. It thrives in beds, borders, containers, and naturalized areas, and pairs well with other summer annuals for nonstop seasonal interest. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil, and regular deadheading keeps it blooming longer. With its vivid colors and long flowering period, Phlox drummondii brings lasting charm and energy to summer gardens.
