Eragrostis tef

Days to Maturity: 100-110

Teff is one of the earliest domesticated plants on earth! Hailing from Ethiopia, this lovegrass species has been a staple crop in Africa for thousands of years. One of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. Highly drought tolerant and fast-growing! Teff can also be used as a forage crop for livestock.

Original seeds from MASA Seed Foundation in Boulder, Colorado.

Planting Instructions: Plant tiny Ivory Teff seeds directly in ground after all danger of last frost has passed. Gently sprinkle over soil and carefully water in, or barely sprinkle them with soil and water in. Germinates quickly.

Seed Saving Instructions: When Ivory Teff seeds mature they will easily fall into a bucket when stems are shaken. Monitor your plants so you do not miss these tiny seeds falling to the ground. Clip entire seedhead into bucket and shake to dislodge seed. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.

Approx 760 seeds per packet
