Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is a species of chrysanthemum that has been grown in medicinal gardens for many centuries, and in fact, has been known as a remedy for both fever and headache for at least 2000 years. Feverfew comes from the rocky terrain of the Balkan peninsula and has naturalized in Europe and North and South America. Also known as Featherfew or Featherfoil, this highly aromatic plant has small white lovely daisy like flowers which appear in clusters. Over the years this steady herbal ally has been used to assist conditions such as fever, arthritis, and digestive complaints. Feverfew is especially called upon for headaches, and is highly effective at treating migraines in particular.
