This herbaceous perennial plant is like sunshine in the garden. Dyer's Chamomile belongs to the sunflower family and produces beautiful bright yellow daisy like blossoms that have feathery foliage. Dyer's chamomile gets its name because the flowers produce a beautiful bright yellow dye, while also bringing lovely contrast to wildflower gardens.
The aerial parts of this plant also have some antispasmodic, diaphoretic and emmenagogue gifts. Applied externally, the aromatic leaves can be rubbed onto insect stings for relief. Dyers chamomile is pollinated by bees, moths butterflies, flies and some beetles and are a champion cut and come again flower.
