Gaillardia, commonly known as blanket flower, is a vibrant, drought-tolerant perennial wildflower native to North America. It grows 1-3 feet tall and blooms throughout the season with striking, daisy-like flowers in shades of red, orange, yellow, and gold. 0nce established, Gaillardia needs very little maintenance and will withstand heat and dry conditions. Pollinators love it, including bees and butterflies.

Planting Instructions: Direct sow Gaillardia seeds in spring by lightly pressing the seeds into the soil, covering them with a thin layer of soil or simply leaving them exposed, as they require light to germinate. Keep moist until germinated. Thin to 8-12" apart.

Seed Saving Instructions: Allow flowers to go to seed. Collect Gaillardia seed when flowerheads are fully dry. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
