What you need: Simply add milk and basic kitchen equipment (pot, colander, spoon, measuring utensils). Follow the instructions, and in one hour or less, you will be eating and sharing homemade, all-natural mozzarella, ricotta, or a simple farmers' cheese! Pasteurized store-bought milk or raw farm-fresh milk both work. Make sure your store-bought milk is not ultra-pasteurized or UHT, ultra-heat pasteurized.
Dietary guidelines: This kit is gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly.
Quantity: Kit makes four batches of cheese. A batch is about 1- 1.5 lbs. You'll have plenty of supplies to experiment with different herbs, shapes, and recipes.
Shelf life: 2 years at room temp. with an additional three years when rennet tablets are stored in a freezer after purchase.
Food Safety and Allergens: The kits and supplies are assembled in a licensed facility that strictly follows the Department of Agriculture cleaning guidelines. The food items are all gluten-free but packaged in a room where wheat, soy, corn, nuts, and other food allergens may be processed.
